TOMS Canvas Wedges

Toms-Canvas-Wedges
I know this is two TOMS shoe posts in a row, but I couldn’t resist when I saw the TOMS Canvas Wedges at the store the other day. At 3 1/4 inches of solid wedge heel, the TOMS wedges are the perfect walking around casual heel. The canvas material makes them super resistant to collecting dirt and they only need a quick brush off to look brand new again. I also like the ash coloring as it’s a perfect neutral color that you can match with pretty much anything. So if you’re looking for a little bit of heel but don’t want to have your feet hurting then these TOMS Canvas Wedges just may do the trick.

Toms Classics Shoes

toms-classics-shoe
This post has been a long time coming, as the Toms Classics shoe is probably my most worn shoe right now. What can I say that hasn’t been said before, honestly not that much. So here is why I love my Toms Classic. They are easy to slip on which is huge in my book, the canvas material that they are made out of makes them super light weight, and I just love the simplicity of the fold over front design. Plus that fact that Toms gives one shoe to a child in need for every pair that I purchase just adds to the positive factor going on for this shoe. If you’re not sure what to wear with your Toms, they work perfect with leggings, skinny jeans that aren’t too long, any casual skirt, and capris. The only thing that I found are tough to match with them are your boot-cut jeans, but you’d be wearing heels with those anways.

Simple Satire Elastic Sneaker

Simple-Satire-Sneaker
Sometimes a pair of good looking sneakers is just what the day calls for, and I’m not talking about Nikes. These Simple Satire Sneakers are a nice alternative to the multitudes of people wearing Converses out there (me included), and I actually think I like them better. They are still really easy to slip on (a must) because of the elastic front, and the sides seem to be made of a tougher material than is typical with other sneakers like this. I especially like this particular color of charcoal gray and ivory with the powder blue lining, it’s perfect for jeans and any other darker colors.

Mark & James Badgley Maiko Sandal

Some shoes just look so perfect when you look down on them, and I really like the top view of the Mark & James Maiko Sandal by Badgley Mischka. The Maiko sandal really has wonderful colors, the muted yellow tone is great match for the beige straps and flower design on the side. These are 4 1/2″ heels with a 1″ platform so I would definitely do some quick calculation so you don’t tower over your date, though if you don’t mind tower away.

Steve Madden I-Dreemy Flat

Steve-Madden-I-Dreemy-Flat
At first I was a little bit hesitant to post a flat with so much “sparkle” on it, but then I thought I kind of like the sparkles. I love the thought that at night when the lamp light hits them just right, my shoes will light up like a Christmas tree (in a good way). I can totally picture these with muted tones of ivory and creme. I would however not recommend wearing these with dark colors (like teal) as you might start to get a little bit of an over the top 80’s look going on.

Nina Electra Platform Pump

Nina-Electra-Platform-Pump

I confess today all I can think about are weddings, and shoes of course, so to match the bride’s pumps I found a pair of perfect bridesmaid’s shoes as well. The Nina Electra Platform Pumps are pretty popular this wedding season, and I can see why they would be the perfect bridesmaid shoes. The Nina pumps come in wide variety of colors (of which the bride can wear white or ivory), so they are a natural choice for their versatility in matching with the wedding colors and bridesmaid’s dresses. They aren’t too flashy either and would look great in a wedding photos. So if you’re stuck in a rut looking for shoes for your bridesmaids, these Nina pumps might work for you.

Liz Rene Couture Cheri Slingback Pump

Flowers blooming, green grass under the feet, and Weddings. The only other season that brings on more weddings is summer, and even then I would say it’s a close race with spring. So if you happen to be that blushing bride, I really love the Liz Rene Couture Cheri Slingback Pump. It is just so elegant with the white satin and the details are perfectly understated but well done. The small rhinestones on the back strap, the beautiful bow, and they were smart to cover the back of the high heel instead of just leaving it that wood color.

Lastly the most important thing for a bride’s shoe is for it to look great, but the second most important factor is for it to be comfortable and stable over the course of a 5 hour wedding and reception. That’s where this pump shines, comfy without losing the couture.
