Christian Louboutin Starlight Nail Polish vs. Heels

Christian Louboutin has just released a new limited-edition Christian Louboutin Starlight Nail Polish in Rouge Louboutin after his famous red-sole heels. Before you CL fanatics get too excited, take a glance at the shocking $675.00 price tag. There was enough surprise when his first nail polish line was priced at $50 when other high end polishes such as Chanel and Deborah Lippman were no more than $30. Yet for a polish with a whimsical bottle design, it seemed acceptable for many to shell out the $50 for the cool collector’s item.

This new release, however, screams excess at the finest. It’s hefty price tag is supposedly justified by the 1,800 hand-applied Strass crystals on the bottle. The packaging is just as extravagant, featuring velvet black insert and two leather strass flowers adorning the outer cover.
An extra $625 for crystals I don’t even get to wear on my nails or feet? For some, the packaging might be worth it enough to make the splurge. For me, I’d rather buy a pair of shoes.
Here’s an infographic I put together of all the ACTUAL Christian Louboutin heels you can get for $675 or less!
