Kate Spade ‘Lovely’ Sandal

I first laid eyes on this wonderfully adorable sandal in a catalog for Nordstrom.  I’m pretty sure it was love at first sight.  I love how a simple t-strap sandal can be taken to a whole new level by adding a large tailored bow.  It doesn’t offset the shoe at all, only enhances its design.  The satin fabric immediately adds to the elegance of this shoe while also being a little bit playful.  To show off this shoe to its full potential wear it with a simple slightly curve hugging knee length dress.

Nina ‘Blin’ Pump

For the many galas, benefits, and balls you will be attending this season you will need an equally fabulous shoe (with a fabulous price tag).  Behold, the Nina ‘Blin’ Pump.  Before you tell me the shape is unoriginal and the color is nothing new, take a closer look at the strap.  I love the layering of different textures.  The style is classic, which will go with almost anything and the color has a certain elegance to it.  Besides its ability to be completely timeless this pump has a modern twist. The variation of textures adds designer depth (ability to create something new out of something ordinary).  The snakeskin adds edginess, while the satin in between softens it.  Great for any special occasion!

Pura Lopez ‘N601/Last 715′ Pump

These shoes remind me of fairy tales, sugar plums, and pretty dresses.  I love the ornate detail on top of the strap, it brings your eye to how luxurious the satin is.  With a slight platform and a tall heel not only will this pump make you more slender and your legs look longer and leaner you will just feel beautiful.  Normally I am all for accessories but in this case, the shoe should be the show stopper (with you, of course being the lead singer).  A cute little clutch will be all you need to complement these wonderfully updated princess shoes.

BCBGMAXAZRIA ‘Harper’ Wedge

bcbg-max-azria-harper-wedge.jpg
Sleek, studded, and sexy.  These 3 words are all the makings of a great shoe. BCBG has stepped up the metal details from studs to full out lining.  The gold lining along the wedge of this shoe look classy and sophisticated without sacrificing style.   I suggest wearing these shoes at night. When the patent and gold reflect of the night time lights, you can be sure that you won’t go unnoticed.

More than anything, shoes for the Mother of the Bride must be comfortable…and stylish.  You are an important part of the Bridal Party and will definitely look the part if you pick the right shoes to go with your outfit.  Embellished flats are are wonderful and dressy.  Patterns are great and can complement a single tone outfit.  Pumps (like the Cole Haans above) are wonderful for height and class.  And strappy sandals with anywhere from a kitten to slightly higher heel bring elegance and tradition to are dressy enough to look fabulous with the satin and brocade outfits I’ve notice Mothers of the Bride tend to lean towards for evening weddings.  So..whatever type of ensemble you are planning…all you Mothers can take the previous Mother of the Bride posts as a guide to style and comfort.

Bridesmaid Shoes: Rewind

Biviel-BV1208 Biviel BV1208 – Flats are a great option for comfort and if you happen to be taller, they can also be dressed up or down.

nine-west-falcoin-sandal.jpg Nine West Falcoin – satin is always a lovely way to keep things elegant. Go for detail (like the pleating in this Falcoin) and bright colors to also add your own flavor.

charles-by-charles-david-tryst-high-heel-sandal.jpg Charles by Charles David – Tyrst: stylish and traditional. Subtle lizard prints like this Tyrst sandal is great and the twist makes the show modern.

nina-vikki-strappy-sandal.jpg Nina Vikki – great for a wedding that goes into the evening because of the color, while still keeping your feet cool in the summer.

Bridesmaid shoe tips: you don’t have to be “matchy matchy” with your dress. Contrasting colors will go great with the popular single tone bold colors that are being used for many dresses today. Look for comfort as well. Only wear a shoe with a heel height, and constructed in a way, that you know you will be comfortable in the entire day- no matter how fabulous the shoe is. Comfort is key, you don’t want to be wincing in pictures. You can mix things up with different colors, prints, materials and straps. Also, it doesn’t hurt to suggest having all the bridesmaid’s getting the same shoe in a variety of colors. Makes for nicer pictures, and we all know how important pictures are. ;)

Guest Wedding Shoes Part VII: Steve Madden ‘Annetta’

stevemadden-annetta.jpg

Steve Madden has come out with a great sandal heel that will take you throughout the seasons (pending any rain of course) in this great worn blue leather. I’ve seen this color all over the place it will go great with any type of dress and with any color Hobo International bag or wallet! If you haven’t noticed, Hobo loves to use the same type of material, wear, and colors as this Annetta. Also, I love the tortoise buckle that is a great alternative to the fabric covered and metal buckles that are currently out there on the market. Another great aspect is that it’s still a wonderfully strappy sandal that closes off just a bit in the front to give a peep-toe.

Ok, and here ends the my Bridal shoe series. But! I will be giving a little recap on each part of the series; Bride Shoes, Bridesmaid Shoes, Mother of the Bride shoes, and of course the Wedding Guest shoes. If you can’t wait for that…by all means please check out the previous few weeks posts. =)

And as a little treat…somewhere in the middle of it all we’ll be throwing in a Bridal shoe giveaway. So continue to check back in and stay posted to enter!
