Mother of the Bride Shoes I: Lauren by Ralph Lauren Tyra

Mothers, if you’re looking for something more traditional and simple, the Ralph Lauren Tyra is just the shoe for you. The straps and design are simple and classy. Not too much heel, but just enough to give you some height to make anyone’s legs look long and lean. The soft gold tone of the Tyra will match just about any outfit whether it be a dress, pantsuit or skirt/top combo. I will suggest however, you try not to go “matchy-matchy” with this and pair it with a gold toned dress or match it with black.

Bridal Shoes III: Kate Spade Mattie

For those of you are perhaps a bit tall…or have a groom who’s a tad vertically challenged, the Kate Spade Mattie is a perfect fit. You still get to wear heels without towering over the groom without having to resort to a flat. With the Mattie you’ll feel lovely and demure with the straps and knotted bow.

Bridal Shoes II: Dyeables Erica Pump

The pleats and disconnected cross front of Dyeables Erica Pump are both interesting and flattering. Also, I’m liking the Erica because a) if you don’t want to actually dye these shoes, you don’t need to since they are already white and nicely finished and..b) after the wedding you can dye them to any color you’d want that will match more of your wardrobe. I actually want to get these just so I can dye them a deep orange to play up some outfits I have in my closet right now. It’s a win-win Brides, perfect shoe for your wedding..and after!

Nine West ‘Jai’ Pump
If you’re blessed enough not to be in the icy cold and rain, snow, or hail, then it’s definitely OK to still be wearing a peep toe stilletto-like this Nine West Jai pump-in the middle of December. I unfortunately do not have that luxury, but I hope you do. I love the tan contrast trimming around the black patent (but not too shiny) leather. Super flattering and a classic combination never to go out of style. Also, the Nine West Jai is a pump that looks great at all angles.

Bridesmaid Shoes: Rewind
Biviel BV1208 – Flats are a great option for comfort and if you happen to be taller, they can also be dressed up or down.
Nine West Falcoin – satin is always a lovely way to keep things elegant. Go for detail (like the pleating in this Falcoin) and bright colors to also add your own flavor.
Charles by Charles David – Tyrst: stylish and traditional. Subtle lizard prints like this Tyrst sandal is great and the twist makes the show modern.
Nina Vikki – great for a wedding that goes into the evening because of the color, while still keeping your feet cool in the summer.
Bridesmaid shoe tips: you don’t have to be “matchy matchy” with your dress. Contrasting colors will go great with the popular single tone bold colors that are being used for many dresses today. Look for comfort as well. Only wear a shoe with a heel height, and constructed in a way, that you know you will be comfortable in the entire day- no matter how fabulous the shoe is. Comfort is key, you don’t want to be wincing in pictures. You can mix things up with different colors, prints, materials and straps. Also, it doesn’t hurt to suggest having all the bridesmaid’s getting the same shoe in a variety of colors. Makes for nicer pictures, and we all know how important pictures are.

Guest Wedding Shoes Part VII: Steve Madden ‘Annetta’
Steve Madden has come out with a great sandal heel that will take you throughout the seasons (pending any rain of course) in this great worn blue leather. I’ve seen this color all over the place it will go great with any type of dress and with any color Hobo International bag or wallet! If you haven’t noticed, Hobo loves to use the same type of material, wear, and colors as this Annetta. Also, I love the tortoise buckle that is a great alternative to the fabric covered and metal buckles that are currently out there on the market. Another great aspect is that it’s still a wonderfully strappy sandal that closes off just a bit in the front to give a peep-toe.
Ok, and here ends the my Bridal shoe series. But! I will be giving a little recap on each part of the series; Bride Shoes, Bridesmaid Shoes, Mother of the Bride shoes, and of course the Wedding Guest shoes. If you can’t wait for that…by all means please check out the previous few weeks posts. =)
And as a little treat…somewhere in the middle of it all we’ll be throwing in a Bridal shoe giveaway. So continue to check back in and stay posted to enter!
