Ruffles are a trend we all need to get on board with.  It has made appearances on your button ups, skirts, and even on some designer bags… but what about shoes?  There should be no question about it, they are just as playful and cute on footwear.  I’m definitely a believer of less is more, which is why I’m loving the subtle ruffle detail on the ‘Baile’ Flat (ha, get it baile-ballet, clever).  It’s fashionable without being too over the top.  It is just enough to keep you in the flow of fashion but not enough to make it look like you’re trying to hard.  Perfect.

Yes, I have already posted these flats, BUT now they are in different colors!  I love my electric blue Kobraas but this pewter is gorgeous. I’m ready to move on from gold and silver and have the bronzes and pewters step into the game. With all the browns and purples that are going to be surrounding us this season it’s important that we have a great pair of metallics shoes to match.

Welcome to a Sale Saturday! I found this great Privo ‘Mesa’ flat that would work perfectly for the rainy weather outside my office right now.  And it’s one sale! wohoo!  There’s rubber grip on the bottom to keep my from falling on my butt while walking around and covers a good amount of my foot.  Plus, not only is Privo known for being comfortable, but I think they are just so go “dog-gone-it” cute. (I could help but put a little Palin reference, whether you like her or not..her some of her turn of phrases are a bit funny.  I’m loving this grean with the little velco strap detail across the top.  The Privo Mesa is a perfect mix of the young and trendy with comfort. The Mesa is an ideal shoe for those college students walking across campus from class to class. Also, don’t be afraid to wear a fun patterned sock with this..I guarantee, you can pull it off. =)

I know; mention of ‘Crocs’ brings a picture of their signature heel strap clog into your mind.  If you didn’t like those, I think you might like these.  A more grown-up and stylish side to Crocs, I’m diggin the Alice Mary Janes – especially for the rain.  They’re super cute and lightweight and have great traction on the bottom as you can see.  Not only that, because they are resistant to odor, you’re safe to wear them as you galosh through wet pavement.  So even if the weather is a bit rainy but the temperature doesn’t require you to break out your smartwool socks and boot, try out the Crocs Alice Mary Jane.

Ok, let’s be real, however funky the weather may be with 80 degree days in October – colder Autumn weather is approaching.  With the colder weather, I’m also going to predict some rain.  If you don’t feel like wearing boots to keep your feet warm and dry, or think heels might be a precarious bet to take walking along rain slick sidewalks – you’ll want to pay attention to the next few posts.  I’m going to give ya’ll some options with some great flats that will keep your feet dry and/or warm and comfortable.

Here’s the Biviel ‘BV1508′ flat.  I won’t deny when I first looked at these shoes, they looked a little homely, but after a while they really grow on you.  Promise, peeking out from under a pair of pants – they won’t disappoint. I love the dark wine color that is great for the season and the stitched front detail at the top.  It’s a nice deviation from the buckles, buttons, and bows that have been popular embellishments.  As a loyal Biviel customer, I also vouch for the comfort and ’safety’ of this brand.  With the rubber sole and extra circular  ‘Biviel’ die-cut at the bottom will keep ya stable.

I’ve decided that navy blue is going to be my essential color for fall.  I’m not quite sure if other fashion labels are on board with my stylish plans, but frankly I don’t care.  I’m stepping out of my comfort zone of black and gray and replacing it with the many wonderful shades of blue. OK, so I’m not making a giant step but hey, a step nonetheless.  Navy blue looks good on everyone, so no one has to worry about not being able to pull it off.  While I don’t think you need a blue pump and flat, I think the flat is absolutely necessary.  And whoever said navy blue and black doesn’t work, needs to rethink that plan because they do (well..most of the time).

With the change of seasons upon us it’s important to start thinking about your fall wardrobe. One of my favorite fall colors is navy blue.  I love the richness and depth of the color.  This DKNY flat will be prefect for fall!  It’s a bit on the brighter side of navy blues, which means it will make your outfit stand out more.  I can just see the cute wool mini skirt, pea coat, black tights, and little hat with this adorable flat.  No way you can go wrong with a look like that.
