The Jcrew Rainy Day Ballet Flat is a nice alternative to the Hunter boot in misty weather conditions. If you don’t mind a little rain (and we are talking light rain here) then the Jcrew Rainy Day flat might be for you. I like to think of these Jcrew flats as a better looking version of the Croc flats. They won’t soak up rain water like a canvas flat, and they are cute enough to wear with jeans on a casual day. I wouldn’t go replacing my flats, and these wouldn’t be my first choice, but if I was looking for a versatile pair of flats, weather wise, these would be on my short list.

At first I was a little bit hesitant to post a flat with so much “sparkle” on it, but then I thought I kind of like the sparkles. I love the thought that at night when the lamp light hits them just right, my shoes will light up like a Christmas tree (in a good way). I can totally picture these with muted tones of ivory and creme. I would however not recommend wearing these with dark colors (like teal) as you might start to get a little bit of an over the top 80’s look going on.

Corso Como ‘Fabulous’ Flat

Fresh cut grass, daisies and full floral sundresses all come to mind when I look at the Corso Como ‘Fabulous’ Flat. The laser-cut design and rounded toe gives it this springtime feel, especially in this kelly green color. It’s weird to think that green can be such a taboo color in a wardrobe… because when you think about it, who does green not look good on? So give it a chance, extend that hand (attached with a credit card) and slip into these festive flats. If girly is not your cup of tea, pair them with a dark skinny and faded rocker t-shirt, accented by a thin scarf. Now there’s no excuses (unless, of course you just don’t fancy the color green).

The inner girly-girl in me is absolutely infatuated with these striped flats. From the floral pom-pom adorning the top of the rounded toe to the candy striped surface. I feel the need to raid Quin’s (from Glee) closet and find an adorable Anthropologie dress and slipping on these flats, while of course doing a totally fun dance and sing number. Shoes like this don’t have to have a reason or any practicality, they just make your outfit exponentially more adorable.

I think this shoe is absolutely adorable. The t-strap, rounded toe, flat is brought back to adult hood. Patent leather and the subtle gold details makes this old school flat contemporary. From baby doll dresses to pleats…in well everything nowadays this flat will only make your look complete.
