House of Harlow 1960 ‘Maddie’ Beaded Moccasin Booties
Nicole Richie = Boho Fashion Frontman? I think so. Apparently she has decided to expand her popular House of Harlow 1960 line and move into shoes. This is just one of a few styles she has come out with and I must say, it’s really cute. I love moccasin booties but I can’t stand the look of fringe, was has caused an uproar (with only me) because all moccasin booties come with fringe! This ode to Native American inspired fashion has me wanting to drop almost $250.00..just so I can look as cool as Nicole does. Unfortunately, I have to wait till other copycat designers follow and make a much more affordable version. Until then I will just lust over these totally awesome booties.

How To Wear Booties or Ankle Boots
Just a fast “How To” post on how to wear booties, because many people like them but are apprehensive because they don’t know how to wear them. Here are some hints for booites:
1. They look great with tights! (experiment outside black)
2. Try them with a wool coat (perhaps a coat that doesn’t follow the body shape so close)
3. A cute mini skirt (preferably made of a thicker material and not ‘Abercrombie jean skirt short’)- Step out in a mod dress with your booties (and a cute headband),Keep in mind structured pieces tend to look better with booties rather then flowy garments.
4. Lastly, booties tend to make the leg look shorter because it doesn’t show the ankle, so to be honest booties look better on leaner and longer legs.
If there are any questions, just ask in the comments section and I’ll answer as quickly as I can!

Frye ‘Liv’ Booties
Of all the new trends for shoes…why, why did booties have to be one of them!? As many of you can probably tell I’m not a huge fan of the shoe thats not quite a pump but definitely not a boot. Its baffling how theses shoes appeal to anyone. They shorten the length of the leg…which causes the wearer to look stumpy (even you, skinny long legs). I guess my main issue with the bootie is how they are so bulky and confined..like your foot wants to escape but is trapped within this confused piece of foot wear. But to satisfy all you bootie lovers out there I have searched for the best looking pair of booties I could find and genuinely feel like I have found a great pair despite my feelings about them.
