I tried to hold off on the Taylor Swift fever as long as possible, but her catchy tunes got the best of me. I mean…how long could I put off listening to the radio for anyway? Blasting her overplayed hit “Love Song” on Grooveshark.com and browsing through shoes is not recommended. My taste for edgy studs or boyish silhouettes was wiped clean the moment I started to sing-a-long. All of sudden I’m drawn to floral, pink, ruffles and satin. But I must admit these shoes are stunningly charming and feminine. With the delicate ruffled back to the pointed toe and satin finish. Although I still think Taylor Swift pulled a fast one on me, I’m still 100% digging these pretty pumps.

I’ll be the first to admit I have a minor obsession with Por La Victoire. I mean, the name alone sounds expensive and when I say it out loud, I feel a tad bit more worldly. Superficial reasons aside, they do make gorgeous looking shoes. I love how they can go from ultra femme to edgy and tough with each season. The ‘Tarissa’ wedge is definitely channeling their rebellious side. This style has been done and done again by other designers, but there’s something clean and tailored about this particular Por La Victoire wedge. Its smooth leather, striking gold zipper and 4” wedge will make anyone feel glamorous. Seriously, throw on some old boyfriend jeans and a tank with these shoes and try not to feel sexy.

I know that designers are always trying to be innovative and cutting edge…but I just can’t jump on the boat with the sideways heel.  I’ve seen this before with Marc Jacobs and I am pretty sure it didn’t really catch on.  This heel looks awkward.  It’s not even attractive to look at.  I’d say that being creative with shoes for the masses has limitations… boundaries that one has to stick to in order to make it appealing to everyone.  This pump should stick to the couture runways.

The double strap may give you second opinions..but let me put them to rest, I have seen this pump on someone and it looked fabulous! I love the soft colors of the beige and pink, it enhances your outfit without taking attention away from you. You will look wonderfully chic in these shoes, just think with a pencil skirt your legs could look killer in these pumps! However there is one draw back in owning these shoes..you have to be able to pronounce the name correctly as people will most definitely be asking who they are made by.
