Guest Wedding Shoes Part V: MAXSTUDIO ‘Bombay’ Sandal

maxstudio-bombay

So chunky is back in style and giving the traditionally more delicate looking stiletto pump a run for its money. Now the challenge is…how do we make chunky look good without it completely overwhelming your whole foot, leg, and overall light summer outfit? On of my rules is that if you are going to go for a bit more of a thicker platform and straps, do so sparingly so that a good portion of your foot still shows and make sure the shoe isn’t too “busy”. That’s why I really like Maxstudio’s ‘

Bombay’ sandal. The variety in the materials used from the snakeskin toe and the contracting slightly distressed leather straps melds effortlessly together with the alternating tan and beige stacked platform and heel to keep things simple and stylish. Also, while the straps are a bit thicker (as in; wider than a fettuccini noodle) they are nicely spread apart to show off you great looking foot. This spring, go ahead and binge – be chunky.

Max Studio ‘Zulli’ Tall Boot

maxstudio-zulli-tall-boot.jpg

This boot takes you back into time, where women had their hair in buns, wore big dresses and their main uniform of the day was an apron. Oh wait…with a few exceptions, the stiletto heel, platform front and knee high height. To tell you the truth the button side is the only thing from the faraway past, but ironically it makes this boot so different from all the other boots. This boot is meant to be shown off…so gather all your tight fitting skirts and dresses and rock these boots.

I have already professed my undying love for flat boots…but I’m not one to exclude, so I have complied a mix of my favorite boots for this season. Before you sigh, and say to yourself…”Where are the uggs?” Let me answer that…there aren’t any uggs because they have found their place in “fad history” (I will use this term over again, so for feature reference it means it had it’s 15 minutes of fame and now its over). The first picture is the Via Spiga boots, if you were one of those people I mentioned earlier about not owning a pair of black boots, these are the ones you need. Via Spiga is an amazing brand and these boots look great on everyone! The Maxstudio boots are for anyone looking for simplicity with an added little something, which comes in the form of 3 buckles. It gives you that ‘old time’ look but updated to look classy, sexy, and chic. Donald J Pliner’s ‘Dory’ boot has my favorites: texture, buckles (awesome), and they are a perfect height for the 98% of the population that didn’t get super long legs. These boots will look hot and fit. Lastly are the Enzo boots..comes in black and brown, which is all you really need, I don’t mess with a classic.
