Ok, let’s be real, however funky the weather may be with 80 degree days in October – colder Autumn weather is approaching.  With the colder weather, I’m also going to predict some rain.  If you don’t feel like wearing boots to keep your feet warm and dry, or think heels might be a precarious bet to take walking along rain slick sidewalks – you’ll want to pay attention to the next few posts.  I’m going to give ya’ll some options with some great flats that will keep your feet dry and/or warm and comfortable.

Here’s the Biviel ‘BV1508′ flat.  I won’t deny when I first looked at these shoes, they looked a little homely, but after a while they really grow on you.  Promise, peeking out from under a pair of pants – they won’t disappoint. I love the dark wine color that is great for the season and the stitched front detail at the top.  It’s a nice deviation from the buckles, buttons, and bows that have been popular embellishments.  As a loyal Biviel customer, I also vouch for the comfort and ’safety’ of this brand.  With the rubber sole and extra circular  ‘Biviel’ die-cut at the bottom will keep ya stable.

Nine West Falcoin – satin is always a lovely way to keep things elegant. Go for detail (like the pleating in this Falcoin) and bright colors to also add your own flavor.

Bridesmaid shoe tips: you don’t have to be “matchy matchy” with your dress. Contrasting colors will go great with the popular single tone bold colors that are being used for many dresses today. Look for comfort as well. Only wear a shoe with a heel height, and constructed in a way, that you know you will be comfortable in the entire day- no matter how fabulous the shoe is. Comfort is key, you don’t want to be wincing in pictures. You can mix things up with different colors, prints, materials and straps. Also, it doesn’t hurt to suggest having all the bridesmaid’s getting the same shoe in a variety of colors. Makes for nicer pictures, and we all know how important pictures are.

I’m short, but I love flats that keep me close to the ground. I also recognize that there are some taller sisters out there who may not want to add inches to their already 5’10” frame. This Biviel ‘Bv1208’ is for you who are trying your hardest not to make the bride look vertically challenged in pictures. This Biviel flat has great detail at the top with the disc-tie combo. It’s got a little bit of sheen to dress-up the shoe and will look ridiculously cute with any type of dress in any type of color (except maybe white – but that’s ok, you shouldn’t be wearing white anyway). Though I will say this shoe would be better suited for a less “black-tie” affair type of wedding. I’ve got a pair of Biviel heels and can wear them comfortably all day. Biviel makes their shoes so that the heel fabric comes up to the perfect high above the ankle so that you don’t have to worry about it hurting at the point where your ankle bends backward when walking. All you ladies who have endured that kind of torture on a long day without spare shoes know exactly what I’m talking about – no amount of band-aids can pad your foot enough to be comfortable when that happens. So be fabulous and comfortable with the BV1208!

A few days ago my sister had purchased some Biviel shoes and suggested I put them on heelcandy. Taking her suggestion I found some cute Biviel shoes online and decided to post. These are very similar to the ones she had gotten and hers looked absolutely adorable with her jeans and semi-dressy top. Whats great about this shoe is it’s rustic charm, it can be worn casual or dressy. The low thick heel allows more comfort which in turn lets you stay in them longer!
