Jewel tones are going to be your new metallics this fall.  OK, so maybe metallics are going to stick around a little bit longer, but there’s always room for two great fashion trends.  I have been waiting for this day to come!  Once I got passed my ‘I love pink’ phase I gravitated towards blues, blacks, purples, and grays.  I still love those colors, so to know now that those charcoals and blacks can now be accompanied by a great pair of jewel toned shoes only makes me more excited for the fall season.  I really dig these Gabriella Rocha pumps, not only do they have this blueish-purple hue, they also have the unique detailing on the back that definitely needs to be shown off.

Keeping along with our fringe trend, I present to you fringe on heels.  So, I can’t say that I am a huge fan of this look.  I will admit, however, it isn’t a total disaster.  Personally, I just don’t think fringe belongs here.  It’s one thing to put them on a pair of flat suede boots or moccasins… but it’s another to try to force them upon a pump.

So… I’m digging the fringe. I’m not going to lie. The Native American inspired shoes are going to be huge this fall season. I couldn’t be more happy, frankly I’ve seen enough of Uggs. The fringe boot has a real good chance of sticking, with its undeniably fun movement and comfortability it’s hard to resist this trend. With either a pair of cute leggings or skinny jeans anyone could rock the fringe boot. And hey, if your scared this is a ‘fad’ (which I admit it probably will be) just think, you will have a killer Pocahontas outfit for Halloween.

Flat boots are my ultimate vice.  And looking at the BCBGirls ‘Petler’ flat boot just proves that I will never ever get over my flat boot fetish.  The fall season is just around the corner… meaning it will be officially OK to wear boots whenever you want.  Although I will admit to wearing mine all summer as well. I love the richness of this amber brown and the subtle wedge gives you a slight lift.  If your mind works anything like mine.. you already have your outfits picked out, even the complementing accessories.

Last week during an impromptu downtown shopping trip I came across this hot pump. It’s no secret that I have a weakness for buckles on shoes, but I am also digging the slightly luminescent patent leather.  The grayish black color keeps this pump looking classy and appropriate for work, but with the right outfit this shoe will take you to an evening out with your bestest buds! The sparkle is an unexpected surprise and I am loving the thick strap and gold buckles accompanying both straps.  Oh…and it’s always a plus to have your legs looking their best.

I know that designers are always trying to be innovative and cutting edge…but I just can’t jump on the boat with the sideways heel.  I’ve seen this before with Marc Jacobs and I am pretty sure it didn’t really catch on.  This heel looks awkward.  It’s not even attractive to look at.  I’d say that being creative with shoes for the masses has limitations… boundaries that one has to stick to in order to make it appealing to everyone.  This pump should stick to the couture runways.

As far as casual sneakers go…Puma has always been on the scene.  Now designers have all jumped on the casual sneaker band wagon, which means brands like Puma has to step up their game.  Luckily for them they are still coming out with trendy and innovative footwear.  I have seen and tried these on for myself and I must say they look way better on and feel great.  They are breathable, offer support and look cute.  I say these are a great way to get from point A to point B…C…and D.
