Charles by Charles David ‘Hottie’ Sandal

The other day I was watching the TV show ‘Psych’ and the main character had quoted a pretty in pink line. Then I thought to myself, ‘the color pink hardly ever shows up on Heelcandy’..hence the ‘Hottie’ t-strap sandal. I may not wear pink myself, but there is no denying the appeal of this wonderful color. Summer and spring are the two seasons where you can really play up color and seeing how we are in one of those seasons right now, there is no reason not to go out of your regular color comfort zone! The bright metallic straps are edgy and fierce. This is a new spin on the meaning of the phrase ‘pretty in pink’.

Steve Madden ‘Skorch’ Flat

I know we have all seen this shoe many times.  But I can’t stress enough how much a basic black flat is a necessity to every woman’s shoe wardrobe.  It will save you on those days you will have to walk or stand for long periods at a time.  And lets face it…some outfits just look better with a flat.  I’m not a big fan of the pointy toe, but these don’t look quite as long as the other pointy flats out there.  I chose these because I wanted to stray away from the ballet flat which has flooded the flat scene for many years.  The pointed toe will make your flat a little different, plus it tends to look a bit dressier than the round toe flats.

Daniblack ‘Topper’ Pump

I’m still on the fence with the Daniblack ‘Topper’ pump. I am really digging the cut outs and the criss cross front strap. In fact this pump would look fabulous with a wide leg trouser pant and a pretty flowy top. However, the heel is where my problem lies. The short heel isn’t doing it for the shoe.  This pump could be very high fashion if the heel was tall and skinny. Instead the heel makes the shoe look a little dated. The ‘Topper’ isn’t quite at the top for me, however maybe if I saw it when the whole look my opinion would change.

Marc by Marc Jacobs ‘684114′ Flat

Marc Jacobs has a way of making simple, great.  Not only do the thin elastic strap make for a more comfortable flat but they add to the style!  These will be perfect with any outfit, especially with Marc Jacobs adorable baby doll dresses!

Tribeca ‘Think Fast’ Flat

I can’t get enough of the subtle wedge! Sure, it doesn’t give me much of a boost on my height (which I could definitely use) but it does make an ordinary peep toe flat just a little bit different. The cushioned sole also adds to this flat, making it ideal for work or an all day shopping trip. Pretty basic with a little added ‘umph’ (no harm in a little ‘umph’).

Steve Madden ‘Shicago’ Sandal

Steve Madden has taken the popular t-strap sandal and made it edgy.  I love the extra buckles added to the side and the patent leather with metal hardware details.  With these added features this sandals is a sure in for this season.  I imagine these with a cute flowy cotton dress and a great double strap headband.

Report ‘Origami’ Flat

report-origami-flat.jpg

I’m going to flip it on you guys and start with the back of this shoe and work my way towards the front.  Why?  Because the back has that extra part above the heel for added comfort! I used to be in agonizing pain when my flats rubbed against my heel.  With the Report flat, walking all day will be too easy.  I’m really liking the subtle stitching on along the middle part of the flat paired with the patent leather details.  This flat is elegant but stylish, both casual and dressy.  Put away your band aids and Vaseline ladies…because this simply wonderful flat will only cause tears of joy (not pain).
