Sadly I’m going to be away from my computer for a few days so I won’t be able to post as often this week. I’m actually in Europe right now checking on the new trends and meeting up with some shoe store owners (I hope they are so inclined to give me some free shoes, like a pair of Jimmy Choos or something).

So…making her first appearance on Heelcandy is my good friend and fellow Nordstrom co-worker, Jen. Thankfully with the wedding season coming around the corner Jen is the perfect writer for this time of year.  I can’t count how many bridesmaids and brides she helped pick out shoes to match their dresses. Metallics are great accent pieces! And for the upcoming seasons you are going to see it in shoes and purses. I love these Christian Michale sandal wedges! With warmer weather here..or for some of us close to being here it is essential that we all have a great pair of thong sandals (not just rubber ones!) With the exception of the extra ‘g’ Steve Madden definitely gave this wedge the right name! Yellow is perfectly in tune with spring, which is why this wedge is going to look great with your wardrobe this season. I love the little knot in the front and even how the leather forms from the sides down to the wedge. With a cute little yellow headband or earrings complementing your wedge you will look beautiful in the spring sunshine!

Not many people have heard of the Coloriffics brand but if you have then you’re in for a treat because the Desire Pump (seen here in Silver Satin) is a perfect compliment to any dress. I like the simple accents of the sparkle that ties the top of the bow together and the black bottoms that make this pump super sophisticated.

Spring can officially begin with these hot new sandals. Having just visited LA some of the girls out there are wearing this Modern Vintage sandal with their capris. This might not work in mid-town Nebraska or even here in San Francisco but they sure are darn cute. Combined with the wide strap and thick heel these sandals promise to be one comfy-attention-grabbing sandal.
