Look, I love patent leather as much as the next girl, however I don’t feel patent can be worn in just any color. If your going to get a pair patent leather pumps I highly suggest you stick to the darker colors. It can easily look borderline ‘tacky’ if done the wrong way with bright colors. The only exception to this rule is a red patent leather pump, if you’re using it as an accent color, maybe pairing a little red clutch with it. The orange patent shoe shown above is one of those borderline shoes, but closer to the tacky side. The only time I recommend wearing these is on Halloween…like today (see how I did the orange shoe on Halloween? Clever, I know). But by all means if you feel like you can pull these shoes off be my guest, maybe one day I will pass you wearing these and change my mind.

There are 3 reasons I love this flat. 1.) It’s red, this color is really popular right now, but never goes out of style. 2.) Gold Buckle/Heel, I mean buckles are awesome as it is, but for some reason I’m really digging this one. Not to mention how the gold heel balances out the buckle 3.) It’s a flat, I have to do a lot of walking and it’s nice to know there’s a shoe out there that I can walk in and look cute. I’m not one to really keep up with brand of the moment, I just get what I like, however this Juicy flat is adorable.

The day to night shoe. Since its Fall/Winter you can get away with wearing a lot of the richer colors during the day. Vince has hit the jackpot with this peep toe pump because this shoe can be worn during the day, whether its work, shopping, or just a lunch date. Not only is it great during the day but also this pump can be transformed into a great going-out shoe.
